Boudoir Photography is sensual Photography with a lot of tease and emphasis on female sexuality. Boudoir is popular as its not glamour that we know from the more recent past of glamour photography, and now boudoir and glamour is becoming more accepted in the eye of the general public.
Glamour Photography is all about sexy and teasing looks hinting on nude photography that will get a mans blood boiling, these are more personal shoots. However glamour traditionally is about beauty and style, from the age of glamour photography in the 1940's with pin up girls and calendar girls.
The term "Pin-up" was first attested to in English in 1941; however the practice is documented back at least to the 1890s. The pin up images could be cut out of magazines or newspapers , or be from postcard.
One of the most popular early pin-up girls was Betty Grable. Her poster was ubiquitous in the lockers of G.I.s during World War II .
Boudoir Photography is a bit of a hard subject to explain one of the best ways I think to explain would be lingerie modeling that you see in catalogues, with more artistic style and with creative lighting. Boudoir's artistic touches look classy and show you off in all your beauty and curves.

Boudoir photographs have been around for over a century so far and in the last few decades, they are rising in popularity amongst women seeking something sexy, yet empowering. Boudoir photographers are often hard to choose from so decide what you want early. While women photographers appeal to your personal sense, a male as a photographer will be able to produce what a man will find sexy much easier, often this is a play off between the two.
Today's relaxed environment allows women to act out a roles or fantasy in front of the camera without the fear of judgment. From lingerie or 'special occasion' pieces of wardrobe to everyday items of clothing, to costumes and role playing, anything a person feels they want to act on is now available to them and can be put together in a album or prints to take home to a loved one, or just for fun.
Our Photo boudoir shoots are flexible and can offer a wide range of styles which you can set, we have many props for you to select from at the studio during your boudoir photo shoot.or can be taken for the popular location photo shoots. While you may have an idea that you want one of two photos to take home with you, this is probably one of your first shoots so you will not be aware of the time that goes into the shoot itself. As it is a 'one time' event, we try to shoot many photographs so that you have a wide selection to chose from, and many women are spolit for choice.
For a simple boudoir shoot, you will need to consider an hour and a half, this is due to a few test shots and getting changed etc, as well as you getting ready for the shoot and adding any hair and makeup.
If you were having two changes of clothes new hair and makeup then this could jump the time of the photo shoot significantly to around three to four hours.
For a full range of boudoir photos aiming for around forty selected prints, this can take around 4-5 hours.
Our Boudoir photography can erotically suggestive, romantic and shot with the implied semi nude, often wearing a variety of lingerie.
Traditonal glamour, Pin-up and Boudoir will start with a makeover if you so wish and then you can change or have your photos taken and poses styled to suit the look that your are after. After the Photo shoot we retouch the photos if/as required and then preview them to you shortly afterwards online. You then make your selection of prints or album etc and we send you your prints or album.
